What season is this?! It's been a bit difficult to pin point a charming outfit to go out in. Do we think spring with the warm air? Yet, still too early and a bit chilly for florals and pastels. With this confusing weather, I took to my wardrobe to create the following outfit. It's something really simple, yet the accent of the hat and collar of this 1940's dress send it over the edge to give me that vintage glam I always love to portray. I just adore this outfit! It's perfect for those daytime errands, yet I believe it still carries a certain elegance to carry into evening events if need be. The hat is I believe from the early 1950's. An off white with spotted netting around the edges. It is held in place with a pin at the base of my crown. The light cocoa sweater was a thrift store find. $3! A steal for sure. The black purse is a Biltwell Bag with red lining from the 1950's. It was interesting to find the company now specializes in motorcycle wear, but still keeping with their signature red lining. How about these earthy suede heels? They're super comfortable, I walked 5 blocks up and back for tacos in these bad babies with ease! Perfectly deserving of the name "Foot Delight Shoes". I did purchase these off the web. I get most of my shoes via etsy or ebay due to my shoe size, 5 - 5.5, depending on the make. These shoes are a 5.5 with great arch support, the label is written with gold lettering and as you can see, covered in a sophisticated deep brown suede. A shoe that can be worn for day or evening functions for sure. This dandy simple of a dress, is "Miss Bea-Tween Dress", the entire tag reads: Miss Bea-Tween, Styled by Well-Made For 5'5" and Under. Perhaps a line designed for shorter girls, like myself. The length is perfect! All in all, a great go-to outfit for this bizarre in between weather.
